Girls2Women-VA is a non-profit group mentoring organization for girls aged 12-18.
Our group mentoring is held in groups called "circles", which are based in several schools across Chesterfield, Goochland, and the Richmond TriCities, including Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights. In addition to group mentoring, our program also includes community service projects and recreational events. The purpose of our work is to hold space where girls feel supported in their transition from girlhood to womanhood through community.
Our Vision
Our vision is for our world to have more
safe spaces for girls to be
authentic, empowered, and resilient.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower girls to
build strong relationships and connection
through group mentoring.
Testimonials
Our mission is realized through the stories and lived experiences of our G2W-VA community.
Here are a few stories that represent the heart of our work.

Mikayla, current mentee
"Girls2Women-VA has changed me in so many ways. It has created an environment where I can be myself and openly discuss my thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgement."

Helen Montgomery, school administrator
“We have seen tremendous growth in our girls since joining Girl2Women-VA. They are doing better academically, showing more confidence, and building stronger relationships with one another. The program has provided a safe space for them to share, support one another, and develop leadership skills that will serve them well beyond middle school."

Charita, parent of mentee
“Girls2Women-VA has made a huge impact for our family. My niece has faced several adversities in life, but this program provides her with a safe place to express her emotions, learn to support others, and explore several different topics that teenagers may face."
